We had a great time with Beau and Jen while they were home. The time flew by as we knew it would but every precious minute was appreciated. Have a safe trip home kids, and we love you both very much. Enjoy that new car Jen!!

SHAY HOUSEHOLD PETS
Here are our pets Trey (the schnauzer) and Hayden (the lab). Hayden is really Zach's dog but he came to stay with us when Zach moved to Indiana. Zach now lives in Mississippi and Hayden is still here, longest visit I have ever seen. haha But we love Hayden and him and Trey have become best buds. Here are precious pets.

WONDERFUL EASTER SUNDAY
It was a glorious Easter. Spent the day with Beau, Jen, Grandma Betty and Grandma Shay. We went to lunch at the Packinghouse. Very good :0)!!! And then back to our house so the grandmas could visit with the kids. I had baked a ham for sandwiches for supper, so we had that along with Beau's favorite deviled eggs and homemade onion dip to go with chips and then on to dessert. The grandmas were so happy to see the kids, it made their day.

GOLF ~ A NEW EXPERIENCE
Last Saturday, John, Beau and myself went over the the Monmouth Country Club and played golf. John and I recently joined with some friends of ours. It had been years since both John and I had golfed, but I bought both of us a set of clubs and off we went. We need lots and lots of practice but we had the best time regardless. Thinking of retirement and what we will do with our time!! Beau was very patient with ole Mom & Dad. I think we are really going to enjoy this.

MOM
Just a quick update. Mom is doing much better. She is at "Bounce Back" at Seminary Manor and she really likes it there. She will be there for a few weeks and then she wants to go back home. We have signed her up for Life Line so we will just monitor her as long as we can, if it gets too hard we will have to insist she goes to assisted living. At this point she really wants to stay in her own apartment. We will let her as long as we can. She does superb when she is feeling well, but when she has an episode it is always a really BAD one. Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks.
