40YEARS MAKES NO DIFFERENCE

You've heard the saying "what a difference X amount of years makes", well not in the case of the GHS class of 1969. We had our 40th class reunion this weekend and it was like we were in high school yesterday. These folks are just a bunch of fun-loving people. We had a wonderful turnout at Crappys on Friday, a great turnout at the picnic on Sat. noon, and Sat. night at Cherry St. was a fantastic ending to a great weekend. We all felt the guys had changed the most (thank heaven for nametags haha). Here are some pics of some pretty cool people who John and I cherish our friendships with.

THE CLASS OF 69 ~ WE ARE AND WERE SO FINE IN 69

Next week is our, I hate to say it out loud, 40th class reunion. I can't wait, it should be so much fun. However, having said that I can't imagine it being more fun than the get-togethers we have had just planning it. It has been a blast!!! And getting together with these folks is just like we were at school yesterday, nothing has changed. Jared Lacy one of our classmates and an art teacher in Dist. 205 for years designed our logo. What a talent, this logo is fantastic ~ it looks so 69ish with the peace sign and flowers for the flower children it is just whimsical. I love it!! Stay tuned for pics of the weekend...

PAYING TRIBUTE

Here are some pictures from last weekend. It is always nice to have all the families together, I just wish it would have been under different circumstances. We paid tribute to a wonderful lady, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Margaret Lee Shay. We will always love and miss you. RIP.
