HAWKEYES 9-0 BABY!!!!

What a game the HAWKEYES played today, down most of the game and came back to win by 18!!! Our quarterback Ricky Stanzi threw 4 interceptions in the 3rd quarter alone, I thought there goes our undefeated season and lo and behold here they come back with a roar. On a day when goblins, witches and superheros are trick and treating the HAWKS certainly tricked the Hoosiers. HAPPY HALLOWEEN HAWKEYES!!!!

GO ALCORN BRAVES

We just got back from visiting Zach in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The Alcorn Braves celebrated homecoming while we were there and the Braves won 34-16. Yay BRAVES!!! Zach we are so proud of you and your defensed.

Zach was quoted in the paper saying: “After the Southern game, (defensive coordinator) Zach Shay came up to me and said ‘Whether they have 80 yards to go for a touchdown or just 20, it shouldn’t matter.’ That’s been their attitude since then. I think they thrive off of the challenge (of a short field).”

Here are some pix of our boy in action

Enjoying the game

Relaxing after the game

Time for some Mexican cuisine at the new restaurant in Vicksburg

It was great to see Zach and it made the trip even more enjoyable that the Braves won their game. It made us all in an extremely good mood.

On the way home we always have to stop at Lambert's Cafe "Home of the Throwed Rolls." Food is fantastic and it is fun to watch them throw rolls all over the cafe.

PRAYERS, PRAYERS, PRAYERS

My friend Linda is battling lung cancer and needless to say she has a long road ahead of her. I ask that you please put her on your prayer chains at your church. Hopefully, some day this terrible disease will be a thing of the past, like polio. It just seems that everyone I know has somehow been affected by this stupid thing called cancer. Let's pray that the researchers will be able to stamp this disease out.
On a brighter note, for those of you who have asked about my Mom, it's Betty now, we all know how she bounces back from things. God has worked miracles again, she had a DOUBLE pneumonia but is feeling great and doing the things she loves to do, visit with folks, bunko, shopping, etc. Thanks for asking. :D
