OH HOW MY GARDEN GROWS

When we bought our new house we inherited this beautiful garden. We are really enjoying it. Here are just a few pics I took today of the Lillie's and a feasting butterfly.

JIMMY BUFFET/LUAU

Saturday night we attended a Jimmy Buffet/Luau at the Monmouth Country Club and had a great time. We joined the MCC a year ago and really enjoy the golf course and dining room. They had the clubhouse decorated really cute last night and some folks had decorated their golf carts and some really did an awesome job. There was also a DJ and karaoke and some talented people sang. It was a fun evening with drinks and appetizers.

ANOTHER FUN WEDDING

This weekend Teddy Grothe and Brooke Palmer were married in Kansas City. Oh what a fun time we had. Beau and Matt McGinn were groomsmen so Marla (Matt's mom went down with us since his dad had to work) and we had the best time. It is so nice of the young folks to hang with us old ones. I cannot believe I did not get a picture of the bride and groom (what was I thinking?). On Friday night the gang and us went to have KC bar-b-que, what a treat. YUMMY!!! All day Sat. of course was the wedding and then on Sunday we had lunch with some of the kids before they all flew out to their respective homes. A wonderful time was had by all and Brooke and Teddy you had a beautiful wedding.

A FAIRY TALE WEDDING

June 5, 2010 was a very special day for the Shay/Youngblood families. The wedding could not have been lovelier and the happy couple could not have been more pleased with the way everything turned out. Even the rain held off for outdoor pictures. Being surrounded by family and friends made it even more memorable. Jen looked absolutely gorgeous. We would like to thank all of our family and friends who made it to the wedding to celebrate with us, it meant so much having you there

John and I were also very happy with the Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch on Sunday morning. The Galesburg Flower Company did an excellent job on the flowers for us. Would highly recommend them. A big shout to Sue Dickinson for all of your help, thanks Sue

I told my son "Happy Wife, Happy Life", I believe in breaking them in very early!!! LOL
