Funeral services for Margaret Lee Shay will be:

Visitation - 6:30 pm Friday June 26, 2009
Funeral - Noon on Sat. June 27, 2009

Both will be held at the Hinchcliff, Pearson & West Funeral Home

IT IS WITH A HEAVY HEART...

As our hearts are filled with sadness our mother, mother-in-law and grandmother went home to heaven today. Margaret L. Shay who filled our lives with so much love and compassion and taught us all what a truly good person is all about met her maker today. Mom you will always be in our hearts and one day we will be together again. We will love you always.

OUR LITTLE MAN IS A GREAT RINGBEARER

GRANDMA BETTY IS IN HER NEW DIGS

We have moved Mom into WoodRidge assisted living facility. She LOVES it out there. She likes being waited on hand and foot. At her age I guess I don't blame her. It is nice to have a sense of relief knowing she is being taken care of. Hopefully she will remain stable for awhile. It has been a month, I tell you. But the strong survive, right?

GRANDMA SHAY UPDATE

Margaret is being transported back to Galesburg to go to "Bounce Back" at Seminary Manor, where hopefully she will get the physical and speech therapy that she needs. Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you.

PRAYERS PLEASE

On June 13th John's Mom Margaret suffered a heart attack and stroke. She has been transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Today they started some physical therapy on her and tomorrow they will be doing an ecocardiogram. We ask that you please keep Margaret in your prayers. Thank you.

A STAR IN THE MAKING

Our boy Joah went to basketball camp with his Dad the other day because Mom was supporting a sick friend. Joah was playing with 6 & 7 year olds but our little guy held his own. I just can't imagine where he gets his love for basketball. Joah, Grandpa and Grandma are so proud of you!!

LPGA WATCH OUT HERE I COME

Last Friday was a very exciting night for my golf game (as if I have a golf game). The CC course at Monmouth has 3 water holes and it never fails I hit right smack into each and every one of them. WELL we were on the last hole of the evening, hole #9 and my friend Warren Dobry gave me an old ball to hit since it was going to go into the water and I wouldn't have to use my pretty pink ball. So I tee it up and everyone is sitting there watching me like her she goes into the water AGAIN and then much to everyones amazement my ball just kept going and going and poof I was over the water onto the fairway. OMG I wish I would have had a picture of their faces. First they sat utterly stunned and then everyone started cheering loudly. My boss came to work on Monday and told me one of his buddies had witnessed it and told him I was dancing and yelling. I can't deny it I was sooooooooooooooo excited. I may never do it again but for once in my life I had my ONE SHINNING MOMENT!!!!!
