THE SHOT HEARD ALL AROUND TENNESSEE & KANSAS

The Tennessee VOLS basketball program has gone through some very trying times recently with the arrest of four of their players. This affects everyone in the program who has worked so hard to have a successful year, from players, coaches, managers, trainers and grad assistants. However, this group of people has forged forward to create a new identity for themselves and they have done it in a huge way. The first game after the incident, they played a very good Charlotte team that had beat Louisville earlier in the season by 22, we beat Charlotte by 17. However, their biggest challenge was looming next with #1 Kansas coming to town. Well, all the VOLS were ready for the challenge. This was Jay's scout and I have a lot of confidence in his ability to get them ready but could they execute? Well execute they did!!!! There were big plays throughout the game but the biggest one came with .32 seconds on the clock and 3 seconds on the shot clock. We were up by 3 and walk-on Skylar McBee hit a shot of a lifetime. Off balance he threw up a 3 pointer with one second left and baby it was nothing but NET!!! The VOLS went on the win by 8 knocking off #1. SWEET!!!!!!

Pictures courtesey of the Knoxville News Sentinel and the University of Tennessee. Thank you.
